Merge videos several files into one MP4, in the order you choose.
To merge videos, add your files, drag them into order and click merge. If they all share the same format, we join them without re-encoding, in seconds and at the original quality. If they differ, we convert everything to one common MP4 and tell you why. Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Free, no sign-upThese files add up to more than 2 GB. On devices with little memory the merge may fail; if it does, merge them in smaller groups.
No videos yet. Add two or more.
Drag by the handle or use the arrows to change the order. The first one opens the final video.

How to merge videos into one
- 01
Add the videos
Drop two or more MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM or MKV files above, up to 30 at a time. We show the length, resolution and frame rate of each one.
- 02
Put them in order
Drag by the handle or use the arrows. The page tells you whether they can be joined without re-encoding or need a common format, and why.
- 03
Merge and download
Click merge videos, follow the progress bar, watch the preview and download the single file, with no watermark.
How to merge videos without losing quality
A video is a sequence of compressed frames. When every file was recorded the same way, with the same codec, resolution, frame rate and kind of sound, the frames can be placed one after another without decompressing anything. That is what we do in that case: each video starts on a keyframe, so every seam decodes cleanly and the final file has exactly the quality of the originals. It takes seconds, even with long videos.
When the files differ there is no shortcut: one video can only have one resolution and one way of being compressed. So we decode every frame, fit it into the final size and compress everything again as H.264, the format that opens on any phone, editor and social network. It takes longer and re-compresses the picture, but at a generous bitrate the difference is hard to see. Before you start, the page says which path it will take and which video caused the conversion.
| Situation | How we join | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Clips from the same phone, same settings | Copy, no re-encoding | Original quality, in seconds |
| Parts of one camera recording | Copy, no re-encoding | Same format as the original |
| Videos from different phones | Conversion to H.264 and AAC | One MP4 |
| Vertical with horizontal | Conversion with black bars | Shape of the first video |
| A silent video in the middle | Conversion, silence in its place | Sound and picture in sync |
Can you merge vertical and horizontal videos?
Yes. The final video takes the shape of the first one in the list: if it is vertical, the result is vertical. Videos with another shape fit in whole, uncropped, with black bars on the sides or at the top and bottom. So choose carefully which one opens the list. If you want everything vertical and the first one is horizontal, move a vertical video to the top.
The final size can match the first video or be set to 1080p or 720p, always in the first video's shape. The frame rate also follows the first video, up to 60 frames per second. Clips shot at 25, 30 or 60 fps all play at the same cadence, without speeding up or slowing down: each one keeps its original length.
- Vertical phone footage with horizontal camera footage: the result follows the first one.
- To change the shape without bars, use the video resizer first.
- For HDR video from an iPhone, conversion may shift the colors; test with a short clip.
What happens to the sound when a video has no audio?
In the final video, the sound has to run from start to end together with the picture. If one file has no audio, like a screen recording or a camera clip without a microphone, we put silence there for exactly its length. That way the sound of the following videos never drifts ahead of or behind the picture. Files with sound at different rates, like 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, or mono and stereo, become 48 kHz stereo audio.
The videos follow one another with straight cuts, no transitions. We chose that because a transition means re-encoding even the videos that could be copied, and most merges, like parts of a service, a class or a livestream, need continuity rather than effects. If you want a smooth change, add the transition in your editor afterwards.
More than merging videos. The best moments of the full video, already captioned.
Frequently asked questions
How do I merge videos online for free?
Add the videos on this page, drag them into order and click merge videos. When it finishes you can watch the preview and download one single file. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no usage limit.
Does merging videos lower the quality?
Not when the videos share the same format: then we copy the frames without re-encoding. When they differ, they are all converted to H.264 at a high bitrate and the loss is small. The page tells you beforehand which path it will take.
How many videos can I merge at once?
Up to 30 files at a time. If the files add up to many gigabytes, merge them in smaller groups and then merge the results: each step finishes faster and it's easier to redo just one part.
Can I add transitions between the videos?
No. The videos follow one another with straight cuts. A transition would force everything to be re-encoded, even videos that could be copied without loss. For fades or other effects, merge here and add the transition in your editor.
Can I merge a silent video with videos that have sound?
Yes. The video without audio gets silence for its full length, and the sound of the others stays in sync with the picture. The report at the end shows how many videos got silence.
What format is the merged video?
When copied without re-encoding, the same format as the originals: MP4 for MP4 and iPhone MOV, WebM for WebM. When converted, always MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, which opens on any phone, editor and social network.
Merged the whole video? We find the best moments.
Upload the full service, class or livestream, or paste a YouTube link. We transcribe it, find 4 to 60 scored clips and deliver them vertical and captioned.
