Which video and audio formats can you transcribe?
We accept the most common video and audio formats, and none of them needs converting. MOV, the format your iPhone records in, goes in as is. So does the WAV from your field recorder, the M4A from a voice memo and the audio file someone texted you. If you record your screen or save your livestream as MKV, upload it directly. What changes is what comes out: with audio, you get the transcript, speakers, chapters, MP3 snippets and, on Studio and Agency, hooks and scripts; with video, you get all of that plus clips, vertical video, burned-in captions, templates and overlays.

Transcribe long audio without splitting the file
A three-hour Sunday service, a wedding with ceremony and reception, a conference recorded all day: no need to chop the file into parts. Each upload goes in whole, with no length limit. What counts is your plan's monthly hours: 10 on Pro, 20 on Studio and 35 on Agency. If you only need part of it, pick the section before processing and only that section is counted. If a month runs long, extra hours cost R$ 9 on Pro, R$ 8 on Studio and R$ 7 on Agency.

What formats does the transcript export to?
The input format barely matters; the output format matters a lot. Transcripts export as TXT to paste anywhere and as PDF to read, print or send to your pastor for review. Captions export as SRT, with TV, Netflix and YouTube presets, and as FCPXML for Final Cut. The full audio or your favorite moments export as MP3. Clips export as MP4 when the upload is video. And on Studio, Agency and the trial, a cut timeline goes to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve as XML and to Final Cut Pro as .fcpxml.

Which file formats are supported?
Video in MP4, MOV, AVI and MKV; audio in MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, OGA and OPUS; and WEBM, audio or video. We also take YouTube links: videos, Shorts, livestreams, clips and youtu.be. Upload the file just as it came off the camera, phone or recorder.
Can I transcribe voice memos and voice notes?
Yes. Voice memos usually save as M4A, and voice notes from messaging apps usually come as OGG or OPUS. All three go in without converting, just like MP3 and WAV. Save the file and upload it as is, and you get a word-by-word transcript with speakers and timestamps as TXT, PDF or SRT.
Do I need to convert MOV to MP4 first?
No. MOV goes in as it came off the camera or iPhone, and so do MKV, AVI and WEBM. Converting first only costs time and can cost quality. Upload the original: clips are cut from the file you sent, and downloads keep its quality.
Can I transcribe a 3-hour recording?
Yes. A 3-hour file is processed in full and uses 3 hours of your plan. If you only need part of it, like the sermon inside a full service, mark the start and end before processing: only that section is processed and counted.
What changes if I upload only the audio, as MP3 or WAV?
The transcript is the same. With audio, you get the transcript, speakers, chapters, moments, emotions, hooks, scripts, diagrams, TXT, PDF, SRT, MP3 snippets and a sequence for your editor. Clips, vertical video, burned-in captions, templates and overlays depend on the picture, so they need a video file like MP4 or MOV. Hooks, scripts, diagrams and the editor sequence are on Studio and Agency.
Which formats can I download?
Transcripts as TXT and PDF, captions as SRT and as FCPXML for Final Cut, audio and snippets as MP3, clips as MP4 and chapters formatted for your YouTube description. On Studio, Agency and the trial, a cut timeline exports as XML for Premiere and DaVinci and as .fcpxml for Final Cut.
Can I paste a YouTube link instead of uploading a file?
Yes. We take links to videos, Shorts, livestreams, clips and youtu.be, with nothing to download first, and a livestream is processed once the replay is up. A file is still the best route for original camera footage that was never published, or for audio straight from your recorder.
