What is FilmScribe?

FilmScribe is an AI-powered audio analysis platform built for videomakers. It transcribes your audio, identifies emotions in speech, highlights moments with narrative potential, and helps you build scripts — all before opening your timeline.

What audio formats are supported?

FilmScribe supports all major audio formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, FLAC, WEBM, and MP4 (audio is extracted automatically).

How long does processing take?

Processing time depends on the audio length. On average, a 1-hour audio file is processed in approximately 5 to 10 minutes. You'll receive a notification when the analysis is ready.

What languages does FilmScribe support?

FilmScribe supports over 50 languages, including Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, and many more. Language detection is automatic.

Are my files secure?

Yes. Your files are stored with encryption and accessible only through your account. We don't share your data with third parties and you can delete your files at any time.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your plan at any time directly from your account dashboard. There are no fees or commitments. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I upload my audio?

After logging in, click 'New Upload' and select your audio file. FilmScribe accepts any format and duration. After upload, transcription and analysis begin automatically.

What is the transcription overview?

It's an AI-generated synopsis that summarizes the main content of your audio. It helps you get an overview before diving into the transcription details.

How does emotion detection work?

The AI analyzes each speech segment and identifies emotions like joy, sadness, anger, surprise, love, and over 30 others. Each emotion receives an intensity from 1 to 5, allowing you to find the most impactful moments.

How to search for words or phrases?

On the transcription page, use the search bar to find any word or phrase. FilmScribe shows all occurrences with exact timecodes, making it easy to locate specific moments.

How to export SRT and TXT?

On the transcription page, click the export button and choose between SRT (subtitles with timecodes) or TXT (plain text). SRT files can be imported directly into editors like Premiere, DaVinci, and Final Cut.

What is emotional analysis?

Emotional analysis shows a complete overview of the emotions detected in your audio. You see distribution charts, the best phrases by impact, and can filter speech by specific emotion.

How to use narrative hooks?

Narrative hooks are AI-identified moments with high narrative potential. Each hook has an impact score, best moments with exact timecodes, and a suggested narrative function (opening, climax, resolution, closing). Use them as a foundation to build your script.

How to create a script?

In the scripts section, select the narrative hooks you want to include and the AI generates a structured script. You can edit, reorganize, and export the final result.
