Star the lines and download them all at once
When you log a wedding or review a podcast episode, you star the good lines as you read. Each star becomes a favorite, and favorites get a list of their own. When it's time to download, you choose: one MP3 with every line back to back, or one MP3 per line so you can arrange them yourself. The same goes for any selection of passages. Filters help you build the list: show only one speaker's lines, only the moments with a given emotion, like gratitude or hope, or only your favorites. On Studio and Agency, those same favorites also become a timeline for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.

When you upload a video, your selected passages can also come out as MP4. You pick the quality before downloading, and the source quality is preserved: footage shot in 4K doesn't come back blurry. If the video came from a YouTube link, the source goes up to 1440p on Pro and up to 4K on Studio and Agency. If the snippet is headed for social, turn it into a clip: it gets animated captions, a vertical frame that follows the speaker and one of 48 templates. How do I download only part of a video?
From the transcript, with no editor. Upload the video or paste a YouTube link and wait for the transcript. Then click the line you want, or select several, and download as MP4 at the quality you prefer, or as MP3. No editor and no manual timestamps: the snippet starts and ends on the lines you picked.
Can I save a section as MP3?
Yes. Any line, any selection of lines and all your favorites can come out as MP3, as a single file or as one file per line. You can also download the MP3 of the entire file. It works with video and audio uploads, on every plan.
Can I pick the section from the transcript?
That's the main way to do it. The transcript shows every line with its timestamp and speaker: search for a word, click the sentence and download. To nail the start and end down to the word, turn the passage into a clip and mark the first and last word right in the text.
Is the original quality kept?
Yes. For MP4 you choose the quality at download and the source quality is preserved. For videos that came from YouTube, the source goes up to 1440p on Pro and up to 4K on Studio and Agency. On paid plans, nothing carries a watermark.
Can I download several passages at once?
Yes. Select the lines or use your favorites, then choose one audio file with everything back to back or a separate file for each line. Speaker and emotion filters help you build the selection, like every line from the bride or every moment of gratitude in a testimonial.
Can you download part of a YouTube video?
Yes, for videos you have the right to use, like your church's livestream, your own podcast or a talk you recorded. Paste the link, livestreams included (we process them once the replay is available), and download snippets just like you would from an uploaded file.
What's the difference between a snippet and a clip?
A snippet is the passage exactly as recorded, ready to use somewhere else. A clip is that passage prepared for social: vertical frame that follows the speaker, animated captions, a template and a score from 0 to 100. Clips are video only; MP3 snippets work with audio uploads too.
