1. About FilmScribe
FilmScribe is a digital platform that uses artificial intelligence technology to assist in the organization, analysis, and narrative structuring of audio-based content such as speeches, interviews, and recordings.
The tool does not replace the creative work of editors or filmmakers, functioning as support for the organization process and narrative decision-making.
2. Platform Usage
By using FilmScribe, you agree to:
- Use the platform ethically and legally
- Not upload content that violates copyright, image rights, or third-party rights
- Not use the tool for illegal, abusive, or discriminatory purposes
- Be responsible for the content you submit for analysis
FilmScribe is not responsible for the final use of material generated or organized through the platform.
3. Submitted Content
All audio, text, or material submitted to FilmScribe:
- Remains the exclusive property of the user
- Is used only for processing, analysis, and delivery of platform features
- Is not disclosed, sold, or shared with third parties
FilmScribe does not claim any copyright over submitted content.
4. Platform-Generated Results
Results delivered by FilmScribe (transcriptions, highlights, emotions, narrative suggestions):
- Are automatically generated by artificial intelligence
- Should be interpreted as creative support, not final decisions
- May contain variations, interpretations, or natural inaccuracies of the technology
The responsibility for final editing and content usage always lies with the user.
5. Plans, Payments, and Cancellation
- Access to FilmScribe may occur through paid plans or a free trial period
- The prices, limits, and features of each plan are described on the pricing page
- By choosing a monthly or annual plan, the user authorizes the automatic charge of the amount to their payment method at each new cycle, until they cancel. Payment can be made by card or by Pix Automático, which the user authorizes once in their bank app, by scanning a QR code; after that, each charge is debited automatically by the bank
- Card payments are processed by Stripe, and Pix payments by Woovi Instituição de Pagamento. Extra hours paid by Pix are paid on the spot, with a one-off Pix QR code
- The trial period allows you to try the platform for 3 days. At the end of the trial, the subscription for the plan you picked is activated and charged automatically, unless it is canceled before the trial period ends
- The user can cancel their subscription at any time
- Cancellation stops future charges. On paid plans, access remains until the end of the period already paid for. During the trial period, canceling ends access immediately and no charge is made. With Pix Automático, canceling turns off the authorization at the bank before the next charge
FilmScribe may change prices and plans with prior notice.
6. Refunds
You have a 7-calendar-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, with a full refund of the amount paid. Within that period, simply cancel from your account dashboard or ask support. The full billing, cancellation and refund rules are in the Refund Policy.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
FilmScribe reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Use
- Use the platform for illegal or abusive purposes
- Compromise the security or stability of the service
- Make excessive or automated use beyond the limits of the contracted plan
The user will be notified in case of suspension or termination, except in urgent situations.
8. Limitation of Liability
FilmScribe is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated results are free from errors, inaccuracies, or omissions
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on platform results
- We are not responsible for data loss caused by factors beyond our control
- Our total liability to the user is limited to the amount paid for the plan in the last 12 months
9. Intellectual Property
The FilmScribe brand, its interface, design, algorithms, source code, and underlying technology are the exclusive property of FilmScribe. Copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative works from the platform without prior written authorization is prohibited.
10. Third-Party Integrations
FilmScribe offers optional integrations with third-party services (such as YouTube) to facilitate content import, and lets you connect third-party AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini) through the FilmScribe Connector. The use of these integrations is also subject to the terms and policies of the respective services. For assistant connections:
- Connecting is optional and requires the user's explicit authorization and an active subscription
- The connected assistant has read access to the account's content, within the features of the contracted plan
- If the user allows it on the consent screen, the assistant can also create, edit and delete content and use the plan's hours and limits on the user's behalf, and the user is responsible for those actions as if they had taken them in FilmScribe. Actions that delete content or spend hours only run after the user confirms: in an assistant app that offers it, through a question from the app itself; in the others, through a second confirmation call, which the assistant must ask the user for. Through the assistant, actions only use the hours included in the plan: one that would go past them, or whose length isn't known beforehand, isn't run, and extra hours are only used in FilmScribe itself
- By connecting an assistant, the user chooses to send it the content it looks up, which is then subject to that service's terms and privacy policy
- Calls made by assistants are subject to usage limits that protect the stability of the service
- The user can revoke a connection at any time in Profile, on the Connections tab, and it expires after 45 days without use
FilmScribe is not responsible for the availability or operation of these external services, nor for how a third-party assistant uses or stores the information it receives.
11. Service Availability
FilmScribe strives to keep the platform continuously available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The following may occur:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Updates
- Technical instabilities
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. Any disputes will be settled in the courts of the user's place of residence, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Code.
13. Changes to Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated periodically. Whenever there are relevant changes, the update date will be revised and users will be notified.
