Church testimony videos, captioned. Built around the strongest moment of each story.
A church testimony video is a member's own account of their faith journey, recorded during the service or in a sit-down conversation. With FilmScribe, you upload the recording and we transcribe the whole story, mark the emotion of every line and the key moments, and hand you captioned vertical clips, each scored from 0 to 100.

Editing a testimony takes care. And it's almost always done in a rush.
The story is long. The feed is short.
A testimony takes 10 to 40 minutes to tell well, and a Reel wants a minute. Finding the part that captures the turning point without losing context means listening to all of it. Chapters show the arc of the story, and every clip arrives with a score and a moment type: story, emotion, call to action.
The person sharing isn't a preacher.
They pause, repeat themselves, catch their breath, sometimes cry. Cut too much and the story stops sounding true; cut too little and viewers drift. Light pause removal cleans up long silences without rushing anyone, and you adjust where each clip starts and ends, word by word.
The right moment is buried in the middle.
The line that moves the whole room often shows up halfway through, said almost in passing. The emotion of each line shows where the story shifts, from grief to hope, and on Studio scored hooks point to the lines that grab attention from the first second.
Without captions, half the story is lost.
The sanctuary echoes, the voice breaks, and on a phone most people watch muted. Captions come from the transcript, synced word by word, and you fix any name once in the text so it's right in every clip.

One testimony, from the platform to your church's feed
On Sunday, Anna steps up and shares, in 18 minutes, the ten years she spent away from her family and from church, her sister's stubborn invitations and her first service back. The side camera catches all of it. On Monday, the volunteer uploads the MOV file, picks Faith testimony as the content type and marks only the part where Anna speaks.
When processing finishes, the story is in text and split into chapters that follow its arc: the home she left, the years away, the invitation, the return, what was restored. Emotions tag every line, and you can see where the tone shifts: sadness in the first minutes, hope from the invitation on, gratitude at the end.
In the clips tab, "My mom didn't ask a single question. She just set another plate" scores 90 and is tagged emotion. The volunteer extends the end by three words so the pause can breathe, turns on light pause removal and picks a classic caption style with no animation. They also make a 90-second to 3-minute version in 16:9 for YouTube and for the screens at next Sunday's service.
Before anything goes live, they send the clips to Anna. With her okay, the first one goes up on Tuesday. If the church is building a testimony series with B-roll, on Studio the editor gets a timeline already cut for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. A month with four 20-minute testimonies uses about 1 h 20 min of your hours, a small slice of any plan.

Frequently asked questions
How do I film and edit a church testimony video?
Film the person facing the camera with a mic close by in a quiet room, or use your service camera. Upload the file, choose Faith testimony as the content type and mark only the story. We deliver the transcript, chapters, emotions and captioned vertical clips for you to review.
What caption style fits a testimony?
A classic, understated style usually fits the tone of the story best. Captions come from the transcript, synced word by word, and are burned into the clips, with 235 styles to choose from. For the full video on YouTube or the screens at church, download the SRT.
How long should a testimony clip be?
60 to 89 seconds usually holds the turning point without losing context, and it's the range we suggest for testimonies. You can pick anything from up to 30 s to 3 minutes when you upload, and every clip arrives with a 0 to 100 score. For another part, make a manual clip from any line in the transcript.
What if the person gets emotional and pauses a lot?
Pause removal has three levels: light, balanced and aggressive. For a testimony, light trims long silences and keeps the natural breath of the story. You can also leave it off and only adjust the clip's edges.
Does it work for an interview with two people talking?
Yes. Lines are split by person, and in a vertical clip the frame follows whoever is speaking. With two speakers you can also use hard cuts between them or a split screen that keeps both in frame.
How much does it cost to edit testimonies with FilmScribe?
A 20-minute testimony uses 20 minutes of your hours. Four a month add up to about 1 h 20 min, and Pro includes 10 hours for R$ 59. For scored hooks and editor timelines, Studio is R$ 89 with 20 hours.
