Video guides: clips, captions and transcripts. Step by step, no fluff.
These guides walk through the jobs that eat the most time for people who edit video for churches, podcasts, weddings, classes and social media. Every guide opens with a short answer, then shows the manual way, in the editors you already use, and the fast way, where we transcribe, clip and caption your recording.
Clips are short moments pulled from a long video, usually in the vertical 9:16 format (1080 x 1920) used by Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Captions are text synced to speech, either burned into the picture or delivered as an SRT file for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro. A transcript is everything that was said, as text, with a timestamp for every line. A paper edit is the map of your raw footage: what was said, at what minute, and what makes the cut. When a small task helps, like converting an SRT or doing timecode math, the guide points to the right free tool.
