FilmScribe integrations. From a link or raw footage to your editor and your assistant.
FilmScribe connects to three kinds of tools. Video editors get a timeline that's already cut, plus captions. YouTube comes in through a link and gets chapters, captions and vertical clips back. And AI assistants read your recordings through the connector and, if you allow it, do the work for you. Each page shows what goes in, what comes out and which plan it's on.
Video editors
A cut .xml or .fcpxml timeline on the original timecode, SRT captions and MP4 clips.
YouTube
Paste a video, Shorts or live stream link. Get a transcript, chapters, SRT and clips for Shorts back.
AI assistants
An MCP connector to ask about your recordings, get links and timelines and, with permission, organize and create.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install a plugin in my editor?
No. The link to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro works through files: you download the .xml, .fcpxml or SRT from FilmScribe and import it like any other timeline. Nothing gets installed on your computer.
Which integrations come with each plan?
YouTube links, SRT captions, FCPXML captions for Final Cut, vertical clips and MP3 are on every plan. The cut timeline for editors is on Studio, Agency and their trial. The connector for AI assistants is on Studio and Agency.
What if my video isn't on YouTube?
Upload the file: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV or WEBM, or just the audio. Everything you get from a YouTube link you get from a file too: transcript, chapters, captions, clips and the editor timeline.
Does the connector work with any AI assistant?
It works with assistants that support custom connectors (MCP). We keep step-by-step setup for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini CLI, Cursor and VS Code, plus Claude Code and Codex in the terminal. Each assistant decides which of its plans include that option.
Start with the footage you already have. The rest shows up where you work.
Upload a file or paste a YouTube link. We transcribe it with speakers, chapters and clips, and you take it to your editor or your assistant.
