Shapes and backgrounds that make things pop
Sometimes text on its own gets lost in the picture. A shape behind the title fixes that: a rounded rectangle for the episode's big question, a pill with the guest's name, an arrow pointing at the product, a star on the number that matters. Colored backgrounds turn a text hook at the top of the clip into a card with enough contrast to read on a phone, even over a bright shot. Pick the color, place it and pair it with your text. Frequently asked questions
How do I add a logo to a video online?
In your browser, with FilmScribe. Upload the video, open a clip and, in the media tab, add the logo from your library. Drag it to a corner, set the size and download the MP4 with the logo burned in. Media library images are included on the Studio and Agency plans.
Can I apply my logo to every clip?
Yes. After the first upload, the logo stays in your media library. On each clip you add it with one click, without uploading the file again, and drop it in your usual corner. That is how a church or a podcast keeps the same branding on every video of the week.
How do I add text on top of a video?
Right in the clip preview. Open the clip, add a text box, type and drag it into place in the preview. Choose the font, color and background, then set the second it comes in and goes out. Text, shapes and backgrounds are on every plan, Pro included.
Will the logo be in the exported file?
Yes. Text, shapes, backgrounds and images are burned into the clip MP4, in the same place and at the same time you saw in the preview, together with the captions. On paid plans, the file has no FilmScribe watermark, only yours.
Can I control when text appears and disappears?
Yes. Every text box, shape and image has its own timing: you set the second it appears and the second it leaves. That way the title only shows in the opening, the guest's name comes in when they start talking and the invite lands at the end.
Which overlays does each plan include?
Text, shapes and backgrounds are on every plan: Pro, Studio and Agency. Logos and other media library images are on Studio and Agency, along with custom caption fonts, for anyone who needs to keep a brand, or several clients' brands, consistent.
Does it work with audio files?
No. Overlays go on video clips, uploaded as files or from a YouTube link. With audio, you still get the transcript, chapters, MP3 snippets and, on Studio and Agency, hooks and scripts, but there is no picture to put text or a logo on.
