What is FilmScribe?
FilmScribe is an online AI tool for transcription, clips and captions, for video and audio. You upload a file or paste a YouTube link, and we deliver the timestamped transcript with speakers, chapters, vertical clips with animated captions, the SRT and, on Studio and Agency, the timeline for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro.
What can I upload?
Audio or video files from your phone or computer, of any length, in MP4, MOV, MKV, MP3, WAV, M4A and other formats, or a YouTube link, including a live stream once its recording is available. Before processing, you can pick only the stretch that matters, and only that stretch counts toward your plan's hours.
What's the difference between uploading audio and video?
With audio you get the transcript, speakers, chapters, moments, hooks, scripts, SRT and MP3 snippets. With video you get all of that plus 9:16 vertical clips, captions burned into the video, templates and logo and text overlays.
Is it for professional editors?
Yes. On Studio and Agency, the sequence goes to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro as .xml or .fcpxml, even on top of your multicam project and with the handles you choose. On every plan, you download SRT subtitles, the text as TXT and PDF and clips in the original quality.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. The free trial lasts 3 days or 1 hour of material, whichever ends first, and you see the result on your own recording before adding a card. Clips made during the trial end with the FilmScribe mark.
How much does FilmScribe cost? Is there a free plan?
There is no free plan. There are three plans, Pro, Studio and Agency, and the cheapest, Pro, costs R$ 59 a month, billed in Brazilian reais, with a discount on annual billing. First you try it free for 3 days, with 1 hour of material and a card on file; if you don't cancel, the subscription starts when the trial ends. Cancel anytime in the app.
What if I want to do it all by hand?
You can. Edit the transcript, trim clips word by word and drag the captions wherever you want. A fix in the text carries over to the captions and the clip. We only do what you ask for, and nothing goes out without you.
