FilmScribe in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Your recordings, inside the chat.

With the connector, it doesn't have to. ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini read what we already prepared from your audio or video: the word-level transcript with speakers, chapters, emotions and clips. That's how they can answer questions about a two-hour sermon or a full episode and quote the exact timestamp of every line, without you pasting anything into the chat. If you allow changes, it can also import a YouTube video for us to transcribe, after showing how many hours that uses.

It's the standard way to plug an AI assistant into an outside service like FilmScribe. Our connector works with assistants that support custom connectors (MCP), including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor and VS Code. You add the address, sign in to your account and approve. After that, your assistant looks up your files whenever you ask and, if you allow it, makes changes for you too.

On the assistant's side, that's up to each company: they decide which of their plans allow custom connectors, and those rules change often. Check your assistant's settings for an option to add a connector. On our side, the connector is part of Studio (R$ 89 a month) and Agency (R$ 149 a month).

It lists and filters your files by title, folder, content type, date, length and favorites, then opens each transcript. So you can ask it to look through September's sermons for every time the pastor talked about forgiveness. Since it reads file by file, more specific requests get better answers.

Only if you allow it. By default access is read-only: it can't create, edit or delete anything, and lookups don't use your plan's hours. If you tick “Also allow creating, editing and deleting” when connecting, it does what you ask, within your plan's limits. Deleting always waits for your yes: in assistants that offer it, the question shows up in a window of the app itself and the assistant can't confirm on its own. Under Profile > Connections you see what each assistant changed. To take the permission away, revoke the connection and connect again without ticking the option.

Only if you allowed changes when connecting, and only when you ask for something we transcribe, like importing a YouTube video or reprocessing a file that failed. First it shows what will be transcribed and how many hours it uses; through the assistant it never goes past your plan's hours (extra hours only in the app). Nothing runs without your yes. Creating chapters, hooks, scripts or a clip's video doesn't use hours, but follows your plan's limits, like the app.

Yes, if you allow changes. It makes the video of one of your clips or a suggested one in the format you ask for (9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9), in your default template, the same way the app's Download clip dialog does. It takes a few minutes; when it's ready, it hands you a link that works for up to 24 hours. Without that permission, it hands you the link to a video you already made.

We don't store your chats. Whatever the assistant looks up is sent to it during the conversation and from then on follows the terms and privacy policy of the company behind that assistant. On our side, we only log which assistant connected, what it looked up or changed and when, never the content.

Under Profile, in the Connections tab, revoke any connection whenever you want. Connections are also revoked when you reset or change your password, change your email or delete your account, and they expire on their own after 45 days without use. To come back, just connect again.
