How to bring translated captions into DaVinci

Updated

Short answer

In Translations, choose a language under Add language and click the button to translate the caption. When it's ready, click Add to DaVinci: we create a timeline with the caption in that language and your edit inside. For the transcript, summary and chapters, translating brings texts to read and copy in the plugin and in the app.

Which languages can I translate into?

Into the 9 languages of the app's caption translation. The audio's own language lives in Captions.

I asked for the translation in the app. Does it show in the plugin?

Yes. The plugin reads the file's translations and shows the language as ready. Just bring it to DaVinci.

Does the translated transcript go on the timeline?

No. The translated transcript, summary and chapters are for reading and copying, in the plugin and in the app. The translated caption is what goes to the timeline.

How do I take a language off the timeline?
