How to import a YouTube video

Short answer

In Upload File, open the YouTube tab and paste the video link into YouTube URL. Choose the content type and click Start Processing. It works with links to videos, Shorts and livestreams that have already ended. Use public videos and avoid age-restricted ones.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Open the YouTube tab

    In Files, click Upload File and open the YouTube tab.

  2. Step 2: Paste the link and choose the type

    Paste the video link into the YouTube URL field and choose the content type.

  3. Step 3: Start processing

    Click Start Processing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a livestream?

Yes, after the stream ends and the recording is available on YouTube.

Does it work with Shorts?

Yes. Links to videos, Shorts, livestreams and youtu.be all work.

At what quality are YouTube videos imported?

On Pro, YouTube videos download at up to 1440p. On Studio and Agency, they download in 4K.
