How to install the FilmScribe Plugin in DaVinci Resolve Studio
Quit DaVinci Resolve Studio, open the FilmScribe Plugin .pkg installer and allow it in System Settings, Privacy & Security, because during the closed beta the installer is not signed by Apple yet. Then open DaVinci again and choose Workspace, Workflow Integrations, FilmScribe.
Before you start
You need a Mac with DaVinci Resolve Studio installed (the paid version: the free version of DaVinci does not open integration plugins) and an account on Agency. The plugin is in closed beta: the installer is not on the site or in the app, and beta members get the file from our support team. Its screens follow your account's language: pt-BR, English or Español.
Step by step
-
Step 1: Quit DaVinci Resolve
Quit DaVinci Resolve Studio before you install. It only looks for new plugins when it opens.
-
Step 2: Open the installer and allow it in macOS
Double-click the FilmScribe Plugin .pkg file. Since the beta installer is not signed by Apple yet, macOS says it can't open it. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll to Security and click Open Anyway. Confirm with your Mac password.
-
Step 3: Follow the installer to the end
Click Continue and Install. The installer puts the plugin in DaVinci Resolve's integrations folder and uses a file from your own DaVinci Resolve Studio. Without DaVinci Resolve Studio installed, the installation doesn't finish.
-
Step 4: Open the plugin in DaVinci
Open DaVinci Resolve Studio and a project. In the Workspace menu, choose Workflow Integrations and then FilmScribe. The plugin opens in a dark window, with the Connect button and the version at the bottom.
