Podcast transcription with every voice separated

A podcast transcript is only useful if you can tell who said what. We separate the voices, and every line arrives with the speaker and the time it started. In a four-person panel, you filter down to the guest and find the answer you want to quote. On Studio and Agency, we suggest each person's name from the moment they are introduced, so the transcript shows the guest's name instead of Person 2.

Upload the final mix of the episode. If each person recorded on a separate track, mix first: files uploaded together play one after another, not on top of each other. In remote recordings, a voice squeezed through the call loses clarity and needs more review than one recorded on the speaker's own mic.

Podcast chapters for YouTube and the episode description

Chapters split the episode by topic, not by fixed time. Each one has a title, a summary and a timestamp, and the copy button gives you the list in the format YouTube reads. Paste it into the description and YouTube shows the chapters on the video's progress bar.

YouTube only creates chapters when the list follows three rules. Check before you publish, especially if you edit titles by hand:

  • The first chapter starts at 0:00.
  • There are at least three chapters.
  • Each chapter is at least 10 seconds long.
  1. Intro and meet our guest 0:00
  2. How the show started 3:05
  3. The episode that changed everything 18:40
  4. Making a living from content 36:15
  5. Listener questions 52:30

SRT captions, show notes and clips from each episode

The SRT puts captions on your video podcast: in YouTube Studio, upload the file in the video's subtitles section and every line arrives with the right timing. The TXT becomes show notes, a blog post or the episode newsletter, and the PDF is handy for sending a quote to the guest to approve.

At the end of the Emotions page you get the episode's best lines, ranked by impact, ready for the promo post. If the podcast is on video, we suggest vertical clips with an impact score, ready for captions. If it's audio only, you download snippets as MP3, and on Studio and Agency the Hooks tab shows the moments that grab listeners, with a score and the reason.

Frequently asked questions

How do I transcribe a podcast episode?

Pick the episode on this page, create a free account and upload the file or a YouTube link. We separate the voices, add timestamps and split it into chapters. You download TXT, PDF or SRT and copy the chapters.

Does the transcript separate host and guest?

Yes, on every plan: every line arrives with the speaker and time. On Studio and Agency, you name each voice, or we suggest names from the moment each person is introduced in the episode.

How do I add captions to a podcast on YouTube?

Download the episode's SRT and upload it in YouTube Studio, in the video's subtitles section. Before downloading, pick the line width made for YouTube, and every caption comes with the right timing.

Do the chapters work on YouTube as they are?

They do: copy the list and paste it into the description. Check that the first starts at 0:00, that there are at least three and that each is 10 seconds or longer, which are YouTube's rules for showing chapters.

Can I transcribe several episodes at once?

On Agency, you upload up to 20 audio episodes at once, each with its own transcript. On the other plans, episodes go one at a time.

Can I transcribe an episode straight from YouTube?

Yes. Paste the episode link in the YouTube link tab, no download needed. Live episodes work too: if the replay isn't out yet, the file waits and we retry on our own every 90 minutes for about 18 hours. Since the link is a video, the same upload also gives you vertical clips with captions.

How much does podcast transcription cost?

The trial lasts 3 days or 1 hour, with a card on file. A one-hour episode uses the whole trial. If you don't cancel, the plan you picked starts, from R$ 59 (BRL) with 10 hours a month, enough for a weekly episode with room to spare.

This week's episode as text. With chapters, captions and the best lines.

Upload the episode's audio or video, or paste a YouTube link. We transcribe it with every voice separated, and you download TXT, PDF or SRT.
